Hi thee fellow DMs :) I'm a new DM and I'm starting a session on Sunday. I have subscibed for the MAPS tool but aparently I can not use some of the monsters due to them not being in the content library. I HAVE bought the books I'm pulling them from. Any ideas?
I don't know how to fix the issue itself but there's a workaround. You can create whatever monster you are trying to use in the homebrew creator. You can even choose the base it off of another creature option Instead of the create from scratch option and then just keep everything.
I just Double checked and actually you can't do that with monsters you don't own and if the system doesn't think you own the monster it probably won't let you do it. However you can create it from scratch and just copy and paste everything over from whatever book you own that the monster comes from.
Thanks! That's exactly what I discovered after asking too.
And with a midjourney account and some obsessive art tweaking, now I kind of want all my encounters to be homebrewed! Time consuming as hell but very fun.
Thanks for the help!
