Heya, I'm DMing Curse of Strahd and I would like him to give the players some magic items to reward the players, mess with them a little bit and because magic items are fun.
For my Dhampir player/character, the intent is to persuade the character more towards their dark animalistic vampire side (Teeth are their primary weapon).
I really like that the very simple decision to only make it work whilst holding with both hands and in dim light/darkness makes it so evocative and also really well balanced
In the words of the great philosopher, Unicorse, "Aaaannnnd why should I care??"

what level are the palyers and which would the player prefer, weapons or natural augmentation

Prerequisite: Dhampir, Blood Hunter (Order of the Ghostslayer)
Description: Your bite attack, a natural weapon of your dhampir heritage, is enhanced with spectral energy drawn from your Ghostslayer training. This allows you to channel the supernatural and sap your enemies’ life force more effectively.
Effect: When you make a successful bite attack, you can choose to invoke the Haunting Bite effect. Doing so causes the following additional effects:
Spectral Drain: The target must make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, the target takes psychic damage equal to your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier. On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage and is not affected by the haunting presence.
Haunting Presence: On a failed saving throw from Spectral Drain, the target is haunted by spectral visions for 1 minute. During this time, the target has disadvantage on Wisdom saving throws. The haunted target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
Ghostly Vigor: Whenever you use Haunting Bite, you regain hit points equal to half the psychic damage dealt (rounded down). This healing effect can occur only once per short or long rest.

I'm leaning towards: Insignia of Claws, Eldritch Claw Tattoo or Cloak of the Bat... what do you think or is there another option you would suggest?
I do know about this tweet: https://twitter.com/JeremyECrawford/status/756202441142444032 (But I would hand wave Eldritch Claw Tattoo, as I think that this ruling takes away from choices and doesn't prevent anything broken)
Edit: Couple more options:
I'd go with Cloak of the Bat, because it is funny to me.

what Order of Blood Hunters?

Order of the Ghostslayer, as funnily enough this offered the most synergy and was module relevant :-)

They want to use their Bite attack
Here's my idea
Haunting Bite

That sounds really fun, but perhaps a bit too much for now :-)
