I am fixing to start helping the university d&d club and am going to share several campaigns for content. Is there any way to see how frequent a player or character is using material or even their character? Probably have to have the club let me know who isn't active to remove and make room for more.
DnD Beyond doesn’t provide built-in campaign activity metrics, so the simplest way is to track attendance manually. Many clubs use an attendance percentage calculator to log sessions and see who’s consistently active. You could set up a sheet where each player’s participation is marked, then review it to decide who stays or needs rotation. For a quick option, you can click here to try an online tool that helps automate this process.

DnD Beyond doesn't share activity metrics like what you are looking for. Probably best to have the cub run attendance checks.
