I was working on some Maps and then wanted to add a basic map in the middle of the list. As I already have overlay and token objects on them for this campaign is there a way to reorder the maps so I don't forget which order? Or do I have to add them in the correct sequence and redo the additions?
You're able to rename Map Layers in the Maps (DnDBeyond) Tools? Customizing names would be great too, but I'm not seeing a way to do that either. I can do it easily in Roll20, but was trying to do it here...
I have been trying to do this and I don't believe it is a function yet. I pretty much have to memorize the order if you add anything after you initially build your campaign.
short time into using the maps tool and already i know its important to rearrange and sort the maps. How can that feature not already been included? Blows my mind...
Renaming and reordering maps are really needed. I have a sticky note on my screen explaining which mapname (1) is for which encounter.
You can rename maps by going to the Map Browser, clicking the menu on the map you want to rename, and clicking "Edit".
While that works for the uploaded maps store, it doesn't work once you add the map to the game list. So if you want the same map more than once, you have no control over its name for that specific campaign.
So you get Map X, Map X(1), Map X(1), Map X(1) Map X(1) and Map X(1) which can't be renamed. And yes, it doesn't increment.

Rename it in the uploaded list before you add it a second time. The second one added to the list will have the new name and the first one will still have the old name. (It does, annoyingly, still put the "(1)" at the end of the second one, but it's something.)

I usually name my maps with some indicator.
I.e. Feather Mountain Lower Level 1
If I need to add a new map between others then I just add a letter: Feather Mountain Lower Level 1a

Came here looking for an answer too. Seems like this would be a basic feature.
It needs the ability to reorganise maps in the campaign, but also to add our own folders in the map store

That's valid but annoying for uploaded ones. But the problem persists with DDB Canned ones.
