Looking at the changes that were made to the Weapons of Warning. In the 2014 version, the intent seemed to be to make it so that the party couldn't be surprised. Now, in the 2024 version, the weapon gives the party constant advantage on their initiative rolls -- effectively making the party go first in every single battle (unless they roll absolutely terribly). This seems incredibly wrong for an uncommon magic item. Am I reading this incorrectly?
A Weapon of Warning grant Advantage on Initiative rolls to you and allies within 30 feet of you, unless surprised by combat starting, in which case it also has Disadvantage to Initiative thus rolling one d20.
Also, Advantage doesn't guarantee success so while it's a considerable benefit, i wouldn't say it effectively makes the party go first in every single battle unless they roll absolutely terribly. They still must roll better than the enemies, which they can also roll absolutely tremendously.

It's a very useful weapon for Uncommon rarity.

Now that we've seen several of the most powerful updated monsters have +16 to +19 initiative bonuses it gives better context for how much this helps.
