I am looking to play background music while the party is the Feywild.
I am looking primarily instrumental music. Odd, ethereal, strange, even off-putting selections are fine.
It is difficult to put the genre into words, so please suggest the pieces that inspire you.
I use YouTube exclusively for my music, but some of these suggestions might be on Spotify and other streaming platforms too. Nearly all of these are at least an hour long and loop very well.
Magical Glade, by Lantern is my go-to whimsical/off-putting track for my current campaign. When I want more of an eerily beautiful vibe, I go for Whatever Walked There, Walked Alone from the Haunting of Hill House soundtrack. And if you really want creepy and off-putting, here's an hour of music box music by Lucas King.
I've used this track for sessions with an interplanar circus with Faustian NPCs. The first half has music, the second is just ambiance.
Finally, check out Michael Ghelfi Studios. They've got a ton of music and ambiances for TTRPGs, including one called The Feywild Forest.
