This may sound like a dumb question but I am having trouble here. Aside from my regular adult group, I run a D&D group out of my local Library for a bunch of kids and my son. I am about to start a whole new campaign for the kid group and we were doing a session zero and making characters from the new 2024 book. While making new characters I realized that I can not find the "Starting Wealth" table that the 2014 Players handbook has.
If there is not a starting wealth table that could be really cool, making the players work for money right off the bat.
I could be overlooking this in the new PBH, but anyone know where it is in the book?

The starting equipment for each class is listed with each class in the Character Classes chapter (chapter 3), in the section labeled "Core [whatever class] Traits" at the top of each class. Each one offers at least two options: one that's just gold, and one or more that include specific equipment. There is no longer a single table listing all of this information together like there was in the 2014 Player's Handbook; you have to look at each class page individually. The gold-only options are now flat amounts rather than die rolls.
Also note that 5e characters (under both 2014 and 2024 rules) also get starting gear from their Background, which is listed with the description of each background in chapter 4.

I normally just tell players starting at lowish levels they can have can have any class appropriate common gear - then add 100gp to their inventory
