First of all, you should be familiar with the Player's Handbook, so flip through it at least one time, focusing on the main parts. The Basic Rules here on DND Beyond will fit as well.
Then, select and run an introductory simple dungeon for 1st level characters. Among mine, I would suggest this one:
Have you been a player before, are you familiar with the rules?
As IhasanShade stated, learning the rules from the Free Rules , so that you know how to play the game, is a good place to start, if you do not know them.
A common starter adventure to run from D&D Beyond would be one of the following:
Breathe, dragons; sing of the First World, forged out of chaos and painted with beauty. Sing of Bahamut, the Platinum, molding the shape of the mountains and rivers; Sing too of Chromatic Tiamat, painting all over the infinite canvas. Partnered, they woke in the darkness; partnered, they labored in acts of creation.
If you wish to DM there's a very big step you need to take which is know of to be a players, so you shouldn't jump into being a DM without understanding and being a player this is important so you just aren't throwing things out there. Another thing is make sure you understand the rule books and mechanics of the game. If you have never played or even been a player I suggest being a player for a year at least because you'll have a long ran character or maybe 2 characters. You'll understand and see how people DM, another thing is research and watch others play the game to understand and see how things may happen and how to deal with them. Being a DM is very very hard its fun but hard you have to control like a million things and yet keep it on track. But the biggest thing to remember is to have fun and remember that rules are only a guideline. Good starting adventures are any of the starter books.
