I've roped friends into trying out dnd for the first time with me, and have found myself being the dm and am a little lost on finding the right adventure. I've watched a couple videos on like what i need to do but i'm new and a bit overwhelmed.
If this is your first time DMing (doubly so if you’ve not played much) I’d advise sticking to one of the starter sets, they’re designed for new players and DMs and tend to be pretty simple to run as a result. Lost Mines of Phandelver is a classic for a reason, Dragon of Ice Spire Peak is slightly more complex but also solid and although I’ve not played it and it’s twice the price of the others the new Tales of the Borderlands is getting great reviews. Just be aware that Borderlands is written for the 2024 rules while the other two use the 2014 rules, nothing saying you can’t play them with the latest rule set but it just means you’ll need to ignore the rules booklets that come with them in favour of the free basic rules you can get on this site
I will say some have disliked the extra content put into the NEW Phandelver, so unless you want to make some changes or try using the older version I might consider picking a different one other than that. It is suppose to be the golden standard though, so you do you.
Lost mines of Phandelver is what I learned on, both as a player and a DM, I would highly recommend.

DM: He doesn't have much besides the skin on his bones. Me: I'll take the skin on his bones, then.
Down, down, down the road, down the Witches Road

The starter adventures I've seen that seem good are Ice Spire Peak, Sunless Citadel, or Phandelver.

I wrote a simple dungeon for first level characters which needs just the Player's Handbook to be played. It costs just 0.50$:
