The other day, I was perusing some of my 3rd party books and stumbled across the weapons in Heliana's. I immediately began envisioning how cool it would look to have the claws on my kobold ranger, but then I hit the roadblock of Weapon Mastery. It was pre-2024 rules and so didn't have mastery properties listed.
I was just wondering if anyone out there had any advice or resources I could use to help me figure out good mastery properties for weapons that don't have any currently, for use in my homebrew and in adapting my 3rd party content.

I’d probably pick the closest thing and go with that, at least as a starting place. I’m not familiar with what you’re describing, but maybe a dagger? So nick. I’d keep an eye on damage dice, but really, each die increase is only another 1 point of damage on average, so it probably wouldn’t matter too much if it were a d6 weapon.

The second Heliana's is coming soon, so it might have what you are looking for.
Any sufficiently widespread magic is indistinguishable from technology.

I probably nitpick and scrutinize too much
Look at something similar then decide if that mastery works with the weapon
