Hello there (jumping from high place and sounding like Obi-wan),
I am starting my first ever time being a DM for my family and they have never done any D&D prior. I would like to know where I can find an easy to read, preferably color coded, players reference sheet.
That is great that you will be playing with your family, I hope everyone has a great time and enjoys themselves!
As far as a 'Players Reference Sheet', what kind of information are you looking for? Are you planning to have the Players Handbook nearby for referencing information?
I am preparing to run the new Stranger Things: Welcome to the Hellfire Club starter box for some friends friends that are interested and have never really played D&D (other than a One-Shot I hosted that they tried out and thought was a lot of fun). I know that the ST:WttHC has Cards for the Players to reference with one side showing info on 'Things you can do on your turn' and the other side has info on the different 'Actions you can take'.
Are you looking for something like that, or a Card with different information?
I assume you have tried some Google searches... I know there are some very talented people out there that might have created something similar to what you are looking for.
Breathe, dragons; sing of the First World, forged out of chaos and painted with beauty. Sing of Bahamut, the Platinum, molding the shape of the mountains and rivers; Sing too of Chromatic Tiamat, painting all over the infinite canvas. Partnered, they woke in the darkness; partnered, they labored in acts of creation.
I hope it goes well too. I am finishing up preparations this week. I am excited to try dming.
As for reference guide, yes something very simple and easy to understand with what you can do on your turn and the other side is actions you can take. St:Wtthc not familiar with that accronym. I am looking something like that but normal 8.5 x 11 size.
I did some googling but some of it was a bit overwhelming with information and others were too noy enough. I dont want to make my own if I dont have to.
