So in my campaign (pirate themed) there are 4 main groups: players + alliances(not happened yet), antagonist (cult of the anti kraken), merchant backed group, and mercenary type group.
also some background information: problems are happening with the sea, the kraken is blamed however the trapped eldrich being is causing it (kraken is trying to stop it from escaping).
Long story short I need some ideas for leaders of the cult of the anti-kraken. Looking for race, class, notable choices or a monster

Fathomless warlock comes to mind. Or seas Druid or tempest cleric. Species sea elf, triton, water genasi, tortle.
Those are the obvious ones. But you could also go the opposite direction, like a dwarf artificer because the plan involves building a contraption to keep the kraken in. Or some kind of fighter or paladin, because the anti kraken doesn’t need help with the magic end, they need someone to lead their army. Or a bard because it needs a smooth talker to be its emissary in the world. Species can be whatever fits in your world’s lore.
There are a variety of cultist stat blocks, like the Aberrant Cultist or Cultist Hierophant.
Princes of the Apocalypse also holds a lot of cultist stat blocks, if you can get your hands on it.
He doesn't have much besides the skin on his bones. Me: I'll take the skin on his bones, then.

how about tribe koatoa dont like pollution surface and town was build over there nesting ground . and anit kraken cult was leader that destroyed there nesting ground
they most attack at night , attack fisherman and merchant , out by sea .
The Tribe might join forces with the Kraken cult . to summon the kraken to get there revenge
