So, at August I will have to run a one adventurer dnd game by using a starter kit for a noob.
He is slightly younger than me, and because I have experience from playing with experienced folk, I don’t know how to handle it. Also I have no ideas for an adventure.

Hi!!!! Wanna make a pact with him? Pm me if you want to! IL tell you the take offs!
I'm also an Anime and Fortnite fun.(and homebrewingstudent-master)
What does the starter kit consist of? It should probably be enough for a one shot. Has the player ever played before and what sort of game do they want?
Is Never again what's inside the starter kit? You should really start checking what’s in the starter kit before preparing anything else in case you don’t have the resources for it. Probably start at level 1 just to teach the basics, nothing too complicated.

Never again is if he has played. He has the starter kit I don’t take dnd books at vacations.

I think generally for play advice, just don't try to patronize or anything. Explain concepts when they come up so you don't overwhelm him with information. If he hasn't made a character sheet, I would recommend being there while he does it so you can explain things like different classes, ability score meanings, etc. I would also say it might be better if he starts out with some more experienced players, but if that isn't an option and it's just him, be patient and kind!

Don't expect them to know everything right off the bat (made that mistake with my first party). Be patient. They'll learn eventually, but until then, a gentle prod (the d20 is the big die) is your best bet. Try to keep the vibes up, and act excited. Newer players feed on the energy of the table so if you don't act like you're having fun, they won't have fun. Try to ease them in, maybe recommend some actions they could take in the first few scenarios. Don't just dive immediately in, or they'll get lost. Basically, don't go too fast to where they don't understand and can't learn, but don't go too slow to where the game feels like a slog.

He doesn't have much besides the skin on his bones. Me: I'll take the skin on his bones, then.
