one of my players wants to buy a shed, just a simple small shed you would find in a modern day backyard and i have no idea how much to price that at, what do you guys think?
It's just wood, nails, and man-hours, really. Nothing resource-heavy. Nowadays, we can buy a sword for £200, and a shed for £400, and swords are probably cheaper in the world of fantasy where people make them more often, so 2x to 4x a sword cost is probably about a good ballpark.
Per the PHB, a carriage costs 100 gp. I’d say that’s probably roughly the same size as a shed. Carriage has windows and more doors and, of course, wheels. So a lot more moving parts. A shed is also something every farmer is going to have, so it can’t really be too pricey. I’d probably go with something like the 30 thoruckduckslayer suggests.
Well, you could give them an average shed for suggested 30, and maybe they'll be offered a "resilient, high-quality" shed for more, perhaps at 40 or 50, and a crummy one for 20. Some options to make it feel more realistic.

Maybe like 100-200 gold, wouldn’t be a ton, but also it’s not a magic item.
thank you that does sound reasonable
A simple, small shed? Probably about 30gp.

That is a rather fair comparison honestly, thank you everyone
