Our adventurers are investigating four murals that are an obvious clue to solving a puzzle. Meanwhile, a loudmouth, magic mouth sings, talks, shouts, recites lyrics and give riddles to the party. Is it there to distract them or will the Magic Mouth provide the final clue they are looking for?
When I ran this in a recent game, we had a blast with the creativity and attempts at solving it. The final solution was an epic moment and a story we've been telling all week long. I think my favorite part, as the DM, was the personality of the Magic Mouth. It is left open-ended, limited to only the creativity of the DM. The end result was hilarious and a unique way to solve the puzzle. Hope you like it! :)
Thanks for this. I'm always looking for little puzzles like this that I can just drop into a dungeon as a one-off encounter that doesn't specifically involve combat.
