So I'm probably not quite there yet but I was wanting the Map found in LMoP to direct my players to SKT and/or give them a benefit if they find it. Which map would be the best map from SKT to use for this. I'd like to get it made up properly which is why I'm asking now, hopefully there won't be any big developments in game that make 1 of the other adventures in the area make more sense.
Check out Appendix A of SKT - it's specifically an overview of a few possible plot hooks to use to transition from Lost Mine to Storm King's Thunder. Give them a reason to head to Triboar, and then the only map they need is something showing the route from Phandalin to Triboar and some surrounding area.
If you are looking to tie LMoP in to SKT there are a lot of pretty simple ways.
First, you could give your characters a task to go to triboar, perhaps given by the mayor of phandolin.
Or, if they haven't done the banshee part, well, that's kinda on the way to triboar.
The middle section of SKT requires a lot of prep and work to make it flow. Something you could consider would be having the map lead to a small trove of blue dragon treasure (perhaps guarded by a wyrmling or cultists). This can give the characters early exposure to one of the big bads in SKT. Alternatively, the map could lead to a kindly giant, perhaps a cloud giant or a stone giant seer. For SKT you need to be able to foreshadow a lot as otherwise the ending will just sneak up on the players.
Hope some of the above helped.

"An' things ha' come to a pretty pass, ye ken, if people are going to leave stuff like that aroound where innocent people could accidentally smash the door doon and lever the bars aside and take the big chain off'f the cupboard and pick the lock and drink it!"
I'd say have it lead to a particular spot in Triboar that has a mini cache (gold, gems, and other loot to sell, perhaps a low level consumable), but it also has a note with a riddle or explanation stating that this is the first step of a scavenger style hunt. Each step has a little trove of treasure and a map to the next step, but there is something from the preceding cache that prevents someone from simply finding one of the middle ones and going on from there. This could be used as a device to meet an NPC who has found one of the treasures and left a note to find them at whatever location they are found at in SKT. The final step could be one of the legendary weapons/items from SKT, the DMG, or some other source.

Do you mean the map they can find in Wave Echo Cave?

Yes. I’d really like for it to tie into the next part.
