*Spoilers for Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus.*
I'm running Descent into Avernus for my home group. One of the PC's has a class and backstory link to Giants and will likely want to free the Fire Giants at Bel's Forge when they get there. The obvious solution of trading her soul for them unfortunately isn't an option as she and most of the party have already traded them to save themselves and each other from death. Another possibility would be having the party fetch the adamantine rods in exchange for their freedom, but that would make it difficult to justify him also telling them where the Bleeding Citadel. Soul Coins are always an option, but I don't know what a fair exchange rate would be for that. One to one seems way too generous to the players considering he'd be giving up good laborers for just a random soul each. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
I figure a fair default value for a 'soul' is the xp value of the source of the soul, which for an ordinary soul coin would be 10 xp, so 500 soul coins per fire giant...
