I was wonder if there was a way to use the Tact Maps I bought on here with the players in my campaign I am running from DnDBeyond? It just feels weird to be the only one looking at a map during an encounter and describing the scene over voice when the players are trying to discuss a strategy while trying to remember their positioning in their head.
There are some virtual tabletop applications where you can put these maps and use them. I've played with some of them but I've actually just been using Keynote and PowerPoint lately. I insert the map and then drop in little pictures of the various monsters and players. I overlay solid shapes to cover up parts of the map that they haven't explored yet. I just share my screen with them over Zoom. It works pretty well and doesn't require a ton of work to set up.
I use dungeon draft and world draft to make the maps. I save them. I wrote a program to show maps, player icons and handle initiative so they can all see it.
Any paint program can load a map image and then add in icons to move around. Doesn't have to be crazy.

So you use a program you made to run dungeoncraft maps?
I use above VTT it’s free and does everything I need.
Becure that in discord I used to screen shot my maps and post them in a maps channel. I would move tokens around them a d take an updated screen grab as needed.

We play on discord and I just screen share my second monitor with them. They like that.
What do you use when you do? Roll20? MapTool?

How do you make the lighting effects transfer from Dungeondraft?
