Anyone know of any Forgotten Realms resources concering the criminal justice system of some of the regions/kingdoms? I'm looking for police investigation and trial procedures both, but I'll take anything I can get.
If there's nothing 'official' I would suggest that the idea of 'police' and the rule of law, even of investigative 'procedures' is a recent invention. Historically you'd have king's/duke's/town guards and militias and so on enforcing order from place to place. In FR you could go all sorts of creative ways depending on the city or area you're in. Mage or cleric inquisitors with skrying or something, for example.

I'd try the Forgotten Realms wiki. Though I'm not sure how easy it will be to find the information you are looking for.

Check Google images for Laws of Waterdeep, pretty straight forward and applicable (i'd imagine) to the rest of the realms.
