I've had so many issues playing D&D lately, it's starting to get on my nerves. I have 2 problem players and one overzealous player. My little brother is playing in an adventure with his friend and me DMing, and he refuses to play. He already got waist-deep in the adventure, and it would be a group of 1 without him. I tried bringing in some NPCs, but it really hard for me to RP and DM at the same time. I tried telling him he can't just quit, but he said he was so bored he had to leave. He has issues visualizing stuff, so I guess that makes sense.
My other player, my brother's friend, is just a bit overzealous. He does idiotic things and lately seems to be having trouble with roleplaying. An NPC told him about a cult ritual, and he asked me how hard the creature they were summoning would be. I told him it was like 1/2 challenge, and there are going to be 3 of them. He's Lvl 2 and is trying to be crazy prepared. He tamed an owl and is picking up every NPC he can. Currently, 2 orcs and his telepathic owl are with us, and I'm afraid I've gone too far.
My solution currently is to force my brother to play for as long as I can, and when he's gone his character stands in the corner and is generally a pack mule. My sister plays sometimes but is giving me trouble about homebrew and not taking anything seriously.
TL;DR One of my players is super bored and not even interested, and the other is a bit overexcited.
Don't force your brother to play. D&D is supposed to be fun. If he doesn't like it, he doesn't like it. Don't try to make anyone play D&D who doesn't want to.
To be honest I would tell the one regular player, "We're going to have to find some more people" and put the thing on hiatus for now. It doesn't sound like you're having a lot of fun and you are getting frustrated.

WOTC lies. We know that WOTC lies. WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. We know that WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. And still they lie.
Because of the above (a paraphrase from Orwell) I no longer post to the forums -- PM me if you need help or anything.
I agree with Biowizard. Your game is done. Ask your overzealous friend if he has any friends who want to play. Put a post up on social media asking if any of your friends have ever been interested in trying D&D. Go to your local game store and meet some new friends.

How do you force someone to play a game of make-believe? The fact that you consider this as a solution says everything about the game you are running. There is no fixing the situation you are in, your only option is to give it up, join someone else's game as a player and have some fun.
Yes, when a player tells a DM, "I stopped playing in your game because I was bored," the DM's response should not be "Then I'll make you play it anyway!"

I think its time to start a new game with those who want to play. Drop the rest.
