Hey all. Looking for suggestions of one-shots that would be good for two players who are both kids. I'm looking to run a one-shot this weekend sometime for the kids when we're watching them for their parents.
We did A Wild Sheep Chase a couple years ago so ones that aren't that would be appreciated.
You could try any of the adventures in Ghosts of Saltmarsh or Tales from the Yawning Portal (though I do recommend the first adventure in each more than the rest, starting at a lower level is easier than a high level). There is also the first few chapters of Tyranny of Dragons available for free through WotC if you wanted to start working them up to bigger adventures, as well as the starting optional adventure for Storm King's Thunder... Depending on how well your children cope with horror and how your DM style is, you might also want to try Curse of Strahd'sDeath House or one of the two starter adventures suggested in Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden or one of the town-based adventures. There's also Adventurer's League, who have some good 1st-level one-or-two shots, for minimal amounts of money.
In addition, any adventure from a setting book (such as Unwelcome Spirits in the Explorer's Guide to Wildemount) are also a safe bet, as long as you handle darker topics gently (dark topics crop up everywhere. Look at little red riding hood!)
Thanks for the suggestions. I was looking at like Lost Laboratory of Kwalish. Our main campaign (that we can't play today because their dad isn't available) is Tyranny of Dragons. I've played through Sunless Citadel at a con before so I could do that one.
We ended up doing Hunt for the Thessalhydra. I probably should have buffed their HP more because they nearly died every time they got into combat. (I lied on more dice rolls than I didn't to say that the attacking enemy missed instead of hit.) I'd also scaled up the pre-gens from that adventure to Level 5 so that they would do okay with only two people in the party. They made quick work of their enemies though.
CCC-ELO-01 For the kids, and CCC-Elo-02 The four Kids. Are two con created content modules which are sold on DMs' Guild. You will need to adjust the encounters downwards. And Pudding Fair is a good one too.

Totally agree with @yamana_eajii. Any of those would work.
