I'm just spitballing here, but I just thought of a feat and I'm not sure if it's rubbish, OP or reasonable!
Push the Limit:
When you have performed all the instances of a restricted action or bonus action that you can (EG once per long rest), you can use this feat to perform this action or bonus action as normal, and then gain a level of exhaustion. Any effects of removing exhaustion are removed from this action.
So, for example: a fighter is in a fight and has used his action surge, of which he has only one. He can "Push the limit" to perform it again, and then take a level of exhaustion. A dragonborn pushes the limit to use her breath attack again. A druid wildshapes one more time, but at a cost.
What do you think? Should it be a feat, or just a homebrew rule? Is it auto-take, absolutely terrible, or reasonably balanced?

this is pretty nice though how powerful it is depends on the effect
Ran out of rages? This is pretty nice feature then
Just need one more wild shape?the feats got your covered
but others are not worth an exhaustion level
say bardic inspiration, magic intiate or a whole list of subclass features
however it´s good enough to be worth a feat.
