In which we make some homebrew based on a joke or theme. I’ll go first.
Dr. No
A Commoner NPC, but he has infinite legendary resistances and immunity to non-magical bludgeoning, slashing, and piercing damage.
From Menzoberranzan With Love
Spell (level undecided; Bard or Warlock; concentration): A single target creature must make a Wisdom save. On a failure they are Charmed by you. While Charmed in this way, they will use their abilities to protect you and attack anyone who attacks you. Each time they attack a friend in this way, they may repeat their save. If you take any action other than the Dash action, the spell ends immediately.
Goldfinger
Curse. Any object not being worn or carried that fits into a six inch cube turns to an equivalent mass of gold at your touch. A creature you touch must make a DC 13 Con save or be Restrained. The creature must repeat the save at the end of their next turn. On a success, the effect ends. On a failure, they turn into a solid gold statuette of equivalent mass to the creature. This effect can be reversed by Greater Restoration or other magic.
Thunderball
Spell (level undecided; druid; concentration): Similar to Flaming Sphere, but does lightning damage. When the spell ends, all creatures in a 10’ radius must make a Con save, taking 2d8 Thunder damage on a failure, or half as much on a success.
The PC's go adventuring and get cursed by a female deity for doing something to offend her (gender). The males have their genders reversed and need to play as female characters with all the social and preconceived gender roles working against them. The curse can be lifted but it will take a while for the lesson to be learned.
Well suited for the unenlightened of gender equality.
The famous wizard Rick Astley’s wife has recently passed away. Strangely, Archmage Astley didn’t seem concerned or even a bit sad at the funeral. More interesting yet, one of his servingmen has discovered books on necromancy in his study.
