I'm working on a homebrew spell for a BS Artificer, but not sure what level I should put it at. The basic idea behind it is somewhere between a Searing Smite and Thunderous Smite. Would love any input on it, thanks in advance!
Propulsion Evocation or Transmutation Range: Touch Components: S,M Casting Time: 1 Bonus Action Duration: up to,1 Minute (Concentration)
You touch a simple or melee weapon. The weapon ignites and pushed forward by a minor detonation. The next time a creature is hit with the melee weapon attack during the spell’s duration, the weapon deals 1d4 of fire and 1d4 of thunder damage. The targeted creature must make a Constitution saving throw or be pushed 5ft back on a failed save.
Additionally, on impact the resulting boom can be heard up to 150 ft away.
Appreciate it, I was more concerned about the two different types of damage on top of a rider. I was aiming for 1st level but figure the aforementioned might bump it.

1st level, I can't tell why you even asked, 2d4 plus a rider is very much a 1st level spell.
I would also put it as evocation.
My homebrew content: Monsters, subclasses, Magic items, Feats, spells, races, backgrounds
