Is there a way to create a homebrew feat that gives you proficiency in a skill, but if you are already proficient, it adds twice your proficiency bonus?
I have as yet to find anyway to do so. Mostly because you don't seem to be able to add modifiers independent to each aspect of the choice option (they seem sadly flavour only). That said I could be missing some aspect that does enable each options modifiers to be separate from any others.

Excellent question. I was just looking for the same information. So far, no luck.
