Sometimes, the magic-user seeks out necromancy, studying forbidden tomes of black magic and stealing bodies to test spells on. In rare cases, necromancy seeks out a user. Such is a sorcerer of the vile thing known as death magic. These sorcerers were imbued with the ability to stir the dead from their rest, turning them into puppets to carry out your every command.
Perhaps you were gifted with death magic by Orcus, or maybe you an encounter with a ghost left a necromantic mark on your essence.
Sorcerers of death magic are feared for their power. The town law may attempt to arrest and execute these necromancers, or mobs of village locals will chase them out of the settlement. But most people try their best to not aggravate them for fear of the power they possess.
Bonus Cantrip
At 1st level, you learn the toll the dead cantrip. It is made a sorcerer spell for you.
Grave Spells
Your natural gift of ghoulcalling allows to utilize spells beyond mere sorcery. When your spellcasting feature lets you learn a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher, you may select the spell from the following list of spells in addition to the sorcerer spell list. You must otherwise obey all the restrictions for selecting the spell and it becomes a sorcerer spell for you.
At 1st level, your gift of animating the dead begins small. When a creature you can see within 30 feet of you dies, you can use your reaction to briefly reanimate the body at the moment of its death. You can make the corpse immediately make a melee attack against a creature of your choice. After making the attack, the creature then dies.
Death's Gift
At 6th level, your necromantic power has firmly rooted itself in you. When you cast a spell that turns corpses or bones into undead, you may spend 1 sorcery point to target an additional corpse or pile of bones.
Superior Undead Control
Starting at 14th level, your necromantic power maintains control over undead for longer. When you create undead by means of a spell, the amount of time that the undead remains under your control is doubled.
Essence of Death
At 18th level, you have mastered the power of ghoulcalling, allowing you to expand your necromantic essence beyond your person, creating an aura of black magic. As an action on your turn, you can project a horrific aura of necromantic power in a 10-foot radius. The aura move as you move, always surrounding you in a 10-foot radius. While the aura is in effect, you gain the following benefits:
Creatures in the aura's area other than you can't regain hit points.
As an action on your turn, you may turn a number of humanoid corpses in the aura's area equal to your Charisma modifier into zombies under your control.
If you are hit with a melee attack, the attacker takes necrotic damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
The aura remains in effect for 10 minutes. At the end of that time, any zombies you created with the aura die immediately. Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again.
Devious serpent folk devoid of compassion, yuan-ti manipulate other creatures by arousing their doubts, evoking their fears, and elevating and crushing their hopes. From remote temples in jungles, swamps, and deserts, the yuan-ti plot to supplant and dominate all other races and to make themselves gods.
At 6th level, you learn the animate dead if you don't already know it. If you do know it, you can learn a different spell of your choice. This spell doesn't count against your known spells.
I feel this is slightly redundant, as the Sorcerer does not have normally access to that spell, and even if it were to get it through other classes, it would not count as a Sorcerer spell, while for it being part of the expanded spell list implies that it would follow the normal rules of other Sorcerer spells (i.e. using CHA instead of INT or WIS). That aside, where would the "different spell" be chosen from?
Other than that (and what Matthias pointed out), I think the subclass is solid, and an interesting take on a Necromancer Sorcerer.

I genuinely LOVE Dying Strike!
Very curious to see what the rest of the features will be :3

You've got a couple of [Tooltip Not Found]s in Essence of Death.
