I just created a subclass for cleric and knowing from past experiences with creating homebrew with spells involved, i knew that you couldn't use licensed spells as part of a homebrew subclass and publish it, so i made sure to only choose spells from the PHB. Regardless, when i tried to publish it, it still says it's using licensed content. Are not all PHB spells unlicensed? For reference, the domain spells are Alarm, Wrathful Smite, Knock, Rope Trick, Conjure Barrage, Fear, Private Sanctum, Staggering Smite, Destructive Wave, and Geas. It's not a big deal for me if I can't publish it, but any help in the event that something's acting up is appreciated.
Only spells in the SRD are freely available. If you look at the details for a spell, and the Source is anything other than "Basic Rules" or "Elemental Evil Player's Companion", then it's licensed material and can't be included.
