I'm recently getting into D&D and I've purchased the PHB, DM Guide, and Monster Manual. However, I did not buy the books on D&D Beyond. I own them physically. Naturally, I don't want to purchase the books a second time. Am I allowed to create Official Content as homebrew on D&D Beyond for PRIVATE USE only? If yes, can I also share that content with my party. I do NOT want to publish the homebrew for public use, I know that is against the guidelines. Thanks in advance!
You can recreate official content in homebrew for private use if you wish; in fact the system is clever enough to detect when an item (or at least its name, text etc.) is extremely similar to an official item, and will prevent you from sharing it publicly.

Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.
