Anari are normally Chaotic in nature. They have strong beliefs in their own way of living, which differs greatly from the norms of society. Because of this, the Anari rarely socialize with other races.

On average, Anari stand a little shorter than humans, weighing around 120 pounds as an adult. Your size is Medium.

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Your base swimming speed is 30 feet.
Amphibious
You can breathe air and water.
Darkvision
Accustomed to living in dark conditions underground, you've developed superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Puff Up
Once per short rest, you can use your bonus action to puff up your body to twice its normal size for one round. While puffed, you get advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks.
Sticky Tongue
As an action, you can use your tongue to try and grapple a Large or smaller target within 10 feet of you (see the Player’s Handbook for rules on grappling).
If you succeed on the grapple check, you may use a bonus action to pull the creature within 5 feet of you.
Alternatively, you can continue to use your action on subsequent turns to try and maintain the grapple.
Sunlight Sensitivity
Your dry skin is extremely sensitive to sunlight. While exposed to direct sunlight, your Constitution Score is reduced by 2.
Languages
You can read, write, and speak Common, Undercommon and Anarian. The Anarian language has heavy croaking and gurgling noises, which spill into the other languages your Anari knows.
