for a story reason everyone in my group is going to gain a certain homebrew spell(regardless of class) , but i don't know how to force add it to their character, Pls HALP
Unfortunately this is an area where we weirdly don't have any kind of override option.
The easiest way I've found is to add the spell to a feat. You'll probably need to make it appear as "at will" (don't set limited uses or charges) and then remind the players that it requires spell slots as normal when they cast (they'll need to tick off the slots manually).
Unfortunately if your players have different spellcasting abilities, you'll need to create a version of the feat for each one, e.g- Wisdom, Intelligence and Charisma. Once you've created one version though you should be able to copy it (when creating a new feat search for the one you've already made) and just change the ability score.
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.
