Hey yall! I've been making homebrew for a while now but only just recently joined DDB. I've been working on posting all my subclasses here and Id love to get some feedback. They are in mostly finished states but the more eyes the better! I haven't gotten the chance to play test most of them, but that's what your here for right? I am new to the DDB system and am still working on meshing the character sheet and post formating, but there is rudimentary info that link to the character sheet atm. Stay tuned for updates on that front.
I haven't posted everything yet but here is what I have so far.
College of Discordance Bard: Everyone knows about the paragons of the arts, the composers of kingly ballads, the graceful dancers, or the captivating orators of the heroic epics. They sew the air with their creativity and magic, but what of those ancient songs of old gods? The tales told of the places between dreams? The babbling poetry of alien worlds? Where there is harmony, there is discordance, and it is your muse.
(A far realm inspired subclass that focuses on control and debuffing)
Path of the Apex Barbarian: Those that follow the Path of the Apex walk side by side with the great beasts of the world. Either through the trials of strength or an ancient understanding, these barbarians form a bond of mutual respect and loyalty with a ferocious predator. With their apex companion at their side, they wade into battle. This pairing of primal fury crushes their foes under foot and breaks them in hungry jaws.
(A subclass that focuses on a bestial bond between the PC and an apex predator)
Beguiler Rogue: With a mix of practical and magical tricks Beguilers sew confusion and chaos to help their allies, and hinder their enemies. They are always in the thick of the fight, but never where you expect them to be. Truly masters of misdirection.
(This subclass brings in elements inspired by the Battle Master and the Echo Knight, focusing on utility and battlefield control)
Way of the Mystic Monk: To know oneself, is to know the universe. Through study and thought those that follow the Way of the Mystic have come to master the flow of their own ki, using it to manifest spells and manipulate the planes of existence themselves.
(The Mystic subclass emphasizes the magical nature of ki, allowing the monk to cast some select spells and enhancing their single target control)
Way of the Closed Fist Monk: Those who choose the Way of the Closed Fist hone their bodies into the perfect weapon. Overcoming any foe with brutal determination and an unyielding endurance. Using ki to push their bodies beyond their physical limits the Closed Fist can strike with the speed and force of a meteor.
(Ever wanted to be a living weapon? push it to the extreme with this subclass, this subclass emphasizes the monks single target damage and unarmed fighting style)
Oblivion Soul Sorcerer: The depths of wild space are a harsh and unforgiving place and those born under a dark sky can be conduits for its power. These sorcerers are known as oblivion souls and they are avatars of annihilation. Able to manifest the all consuming nature of black stars and manipulate the powers of force, oblivion souls are consumption embodied. Those who manifest this power are considered bad omens or bringers of a dark age, often being ostracized or becoming the subject of occult worship.
(This subclass gives the sorcerer an expanded spell list focusing on the manipulation of gravity and matter, including new ways to expend sorcery points)
I have one more subclass I am working on posting, the Pilot Artificer, its a little bit more involved so its taking longer to post, but stay tuned! If you like what I've got, let me know, if you have criticisms leave them below, but please be kind and constructive.
