I have an idea for a character that I want to play. Part of the fun of character creation is being able to imagine the character, what armor they are wearing, what weapons they fight with, etc. I'm sure everybody here has an idea of what that is like. So the character I'm creating I feel would fight with a small blade in each hand. I didn't like the idea of simple daggers, and started researching historical weapons that were similar but had an interesting style. I looked at different monk weapons, and found a design I was happy with. However, that design wasn't from a historical weapon, but a theatrical one. I love the look of the Ulak blades from the movie Chronicles of Riddick. I want to be able to use a pair of those for my character. Now, wanting to infringe upon any copyright laws, etc. How can I incorporate these blades into D&D Beyond for my character?
Am I just creating a blade, making up a random name, and relying on the description of the blade to present the style that I want? Or is it considered a no-no to even do that? As far as I can tell, the blade style is pretty unique. Although I saw photos on the internet of a design that was somewhat similar, but poorly crafterd (looked like it would break if actually used). I doubt I'm even looking for any special magic added to the weapon. I figure I'll leave that up to my character to pay for enchantments down the road.
So I guess, my question is, can I go and create this blade in the Homebrew section and just not call it an Ulak blade, or am I simply stuck with a couple of daggers? Does any of this make sense? I'm somewhat sleep deprived right now, and everything is kinda blending together. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly.

Of course you can do that! You're not just limited to "daggers". I feel like the Ulak Blades would have the same statistics as daggers though, but that's up to the Dungeon Master of the game you'd be playing in. You can easily reflavour anything to suit your character.
For example, my Kenku Monk I play in a friend's homegame uses a Bo-Staff, which I just reflavoured the quarter staff into. It's got an iron ball on the tip that he uses to smack his opponents with for that sweet bludgeoning damage, and there's empty wooden bottles of sake tied around the tip of the staff as well.
