I have a player that, at the beginning of our campaign, ask me if I would Homebrew the 3.5 prestige class Temple raider for our 5e game. I had never done anything like that before so I did the best I could with it, not realizing how much overlap the abilities would be from the temple raider class to the 5e arcane trickster road class that he had. So now that I've realized this I'm trying to find an ability that will work for the divine nature of Temple raider to replace uncanny Dodge without it getting op. Anybody have any suggestions I'm not even sure where to start looking for something comparative in terms of power not so much in terms of game mechanic is uncanny Dodge is pretty unique.
Ok Temple Raider looks very easy to replicate in 5e:
1) Tell them to take the Dungeon Delver Feat.
2) Create a HB subclass that is the same as the Arcane Trickster only it uses the Cleric spell list instead of the Wizard spell list, but add the domain spells from the Trickery cleric to that spell list.
3) Replace the 17th level feature with : Lucky break - enemies cannot have advantage on attacks that target you, and when you must make a saving throw you can use your reaction to grant yourself advantage on it.
