I’m working on a magic item (a longbow in fact) that has 7 charges and it can cast the Magic Missile (Legacy) spell. I have the Min - Max charges from 1 -7 which is working as intended, but I want to be able to adjust the scale of casting for Magic Missile. Instead of 1 charge for a 1st level version of Magic Missile, I’m trying to see if there’s a way that I can make the 2nd level version of Magic Missile act as the 1 charge value.
I still want to be able to upscale the spell, so I’m not looking to locking the spell level to just the 2nd level version. Hoping there’s a way alter this if anyone knows the trick to it. I’m pretty new and inexperienced to playing with the homebrew functions on DnD Beyond, so any help is appreciated.
