I'm currently trying to add a homebrew revolver that my DM made to DDB and the best way that I found was to add it as a feat, then add an action to that feat to deal with the shooting of the revolver itself (I tried homebrewing an item but it didn't have enough flexibility).
The main issue that I have with the setup is that the revolver is supposed to only deal 3d4 damage, but it seems to force me to add my DEX modifier to the damage roll. My DM specifically states that the damage dice roll has no modifiers, so this isn't just something that I can just ignore.
I was able to fix this in the character sheet itself by overriding the damage bonus, but it'd be great if there was a way to just remove it altogether. Is that something that's possible at all? Can I add an action to a feat that deals damage without any ability modifiers?
Thank you so much! It did work, but now there's a new problem where I can't add a save DC without it requiring to also add an ability score type (which I believe is what's causing the damage roll to add the ability modifier?) so uh- yeah. I'll keep messing around to see if I can figure something out though!

If you want to create an action without the damage bonus, I think using the General action type instead of Weapon or Spell should do the trick.

Having the same issue. Cannot have a Save DC without adding an Ability Score.
What is the workaround for this?
