I am trying to create an item that when it is equipped, works just like being Blessed. It is currently showing the plus symbol and 0d4 for saving throws, and I am not seeing anything for attacks. Here is how I have it set up:
Attack bonuses and saving throws on the character sheet can only use static bonuses. So, you cannot have it show +1d4 as attack bonus or saving throw.
The description of adding 1d4 to these is purely in the description for the item and it will be up to the player to remember to use it.
A better option may be to make the ring have the ability to cast Bless spell, at will, that targets only the wearer. You can add the data for the Spell and choose to override target and range of spell to Self and add the restriction details for this also. This then appears under Spells as an At-Will spell. This will serve to make it easier on the player to remember they can use this. It still remains on them to realise they have to make these rolls just as they would if they had been targeted by a bless spell from somebody else. It will still require concentration and this helps keeps the item balanced because without it this would not be balanced at all but with a few key taps you can override that too if you wanted.

I would be grateful if someone could shed some light on this for me.

Thanks. I’m not worry about balance as it is only for me when I have been #blessed.
