Hey Guys!

I'm trying to make a CR 18 creature and I have no idea what stats to give it. I went to reference stats from other CR 18 creatures but the only one is a demilich apparently and it didn't feel right to use that as my only reference for stats. I know that there were averages/ranges for each CR in the 2014 DMG but I couldn't find one in the 2024 DMG. Does anyone have the averages or the ranges that monsters fall into based on their CR for the 2024 rules?

Depending on the type of monster you want to make, the averages that you can follow are as, well follows.

Armor Class 18-21 
Hit Points 200-300
Speed  30-50 ft, and some kind of other movement, such as flight or burrow
DPR should be around 70-101
Res/Immune Should be resistant to 1-4 things and immune to 1-2
Stats Should have 3-4 very high stats (like 24-26) two high stats (20-22), and one slightly lower stat (18-20)
Abilities Should have about 2-4 special abilities alongside about 3 legendary resistances and 2-5 legendary actions.

Did it mysself, so its most likely not 100% accurate, but from looking and refrencing 12 different cr 18 monsters,  alongside experience of how good DND fights should go as both player and DM it should do fairly well.

P.S. If your monster is a spellcaster like a Lich type deal, give it up to 9th level spellcasting, with innate casting of some 1st-2nd level spells and lower its ac by 1 or 2, and decrease its hp by 25-45
