It's been a while since Shade and Aphrodite got put on here. Shade got accused of being a self insert and made by a five-year old, and Aphrodite's comments are closed down.
Aphrodite is still the most-downvoted Homebrew monster on all of D&Dbeyond.
So after all this time, what do you guys think of them?
To be honest, I don't know why they are the most downvoted / criticized. There are dozens others that are similarly powerful around in HB sites. XP to Level 3 did a fun video about several of them, some of which were much more outrageous than these. I guess these get the downvotes because not only are they OP statblocks, they aren't even interesting in their OP-ness.
It's like movies that go over the top in special effects/stunts, you have to lean-in and make them silly and ridiculous because they are fundamentally silly and ridiculous, no serious game or serious DM would ever use them. If you try to take them seriously they are not only useless statblocks they aren't even fun to read / laugh at.

Depends what you mean by "worse". For instance there is the Swarm of Orcuses, Tarrasques, and Krakens which is certainly more OP, but it's also way more ridiculous making it a hilarious joke monster. Thus "better" in some instances. Personally I love joke monsters, hence my "Dungeon Master" monster.

Yeah, I've seen the dreaded swarm before. That's a good point.

Those are hilariously overpowered. I find it rather interesting that the creator actually worded them decently well.
I thought the opposite. Commoner one taps it.

That's fair. There are worse creations.
