I've made a custom spell that's pretty close to Shillelagh and I wanted to make the part of the spell that adds yours spell casting modifier applicable once you reach level 5. Is there a way to either to add this to modifiers in the edit window or better yet a way to add it to "at higher levels" section?
Yeah, only mods can see unpublished homebrew, so we can't see it.
Shillelagh already uses your spellcasting modifier.
Furthermore, I don't think it uses any modifiers because it is a temporary effect type thing (which DDB does not support yet). So you can just describe the bonus in the spell's description.
Okay, yeah shillelagh does use the spell mod but it's at lvl one and the spell has no scaling components. This does seem to be supported by the spell crafting tool since you have the option to make modifiers scale with primary spell casting stat with just the click of a box.
The issue I'm having is just trying to get those modifiers not to scale until lvl 5. Not sure if it does make a difference over all though as you said because I don't know if when casted on your character sheet it's applied or not. I'll update and add pictures to show what I mean to the main post.
Either way, I've just kept it in the spell description for now.

I dunno if anyone can see it but I have the spell here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/165707-chaotic-dragon-fang
If no one can see it I'll edit this post and add it if needed.
