Hey there, new guy here. I did have a thread about encounter maths but I'm ready to dabble a bit into the cool, homebrew stuff.
And while I have a tiny bit of experience with the game, this one might require some game design: I'm trying to have monsters deal "Condition damage".
Long story short, I would like for a large monster to hit my players with some damage and with some additional points that, when accumulated to a certain treshold, will give them a condition (i.e. Stunned or Poisoned).
How would you guys go about it? What are the ups and downs of your homebrew rule?
I was thinking of perhaps going for "Condition Saving Throws" like the Death Throws. But, seeing how monsters don't always live that long, I don't think this will be a good idea!
