I'm trying to create a subclass for my players that has a mechanic similar to the Barbarian rage. You can use the feature as many times as you Wisdom mod and it resets on a short rest. Is there a way to set up the feature so you can the tick off the uses like you officially can with Barbarian rages and features like it? 

Certainly. When you create the feature, go to the "Actions" tab and create one. Once the action is created, you can edit the action under the "Limited Use".
