Wondering if anybody would like to share any feedback they might think of regarding a home brew race i worked on creating for my own home brew campaign setting to run with my wife and her friends, she wanted a werewolf race descending from this world's moon goddess Lucyln. All Feedback welcome! Let me know what you all think!
Hailing from cold plains to the north, Lucyans are wolflike humanoids driven by their leader to the benefit of the pack, They are hunters by nature so they can be often be found in forests easily mistaken for dire wolfs until they stand up. Some Lucyan actually leave their pack to incorporate themselves into the pack of natural born dire wolves, preferring their simpler lifestyles. Uncanny in their hunting strategy, they will track prey for miles, never giving up a kill. They tend to stick to themselves, but are quite sociable when you get them talking. Their culture is a hunter gatherer culture, those of the pack who do not hunt, gather or scavenge when possible. They are a proud race, often walking with heir heads held high. They do not believe themselves above or superior to other races but demand respect and they offer it in return. They are well known for having intense stares that seems to size up whoever they are speaking to or looking at.
Pack Mentality.
Most Lucyans remain in packs, all traveling together, They don't often venture outside their controlled territory, packs are constantly competing to expands their territorial domain. When a pack is defeated by a rival pack, they are run from their territory, with the winning pack annexing the rival lands into their own. Lucyan packs can have as many as 30 odd some members. They often have a base within their territory from where they send out scouts, hunting parties and patrols to defend their lands.
Military Dogs.
Lucyans outside of their lands can most commonly be found serving in a military of numerous nations. Having been raised since pups in a highly structured and disciplined pack hierarchy. They adjust well to following orders and rising to ranks of leadership during their careers. As leaders, Lucyans are fearless leaders and not only serve their nation faithfully but also are deadly loyal to the men and women under their command.
The Way of The Wood.
Lucyan hold a sense of enlightenment regarding the natural cycle of life and cause and effect. They do not hold any racial biases against other races. They see all life as equally valuable. They do not hunt for sport and they do not go to excesses when the need for retaliation or confrontation arises. Different packs have experienced different events of happenstance but they tend to generally understand and accept what situations caused which events and the effects of such. For example, one pack may hold a grudge against a can of orcs due to the orcs hunting their pack in the past. But that grudge does not translate to the rest of the Orc race.
A Blessing, Not a Curse.
The first Lucyan was given life by the moon goddess Lucyln. She shared her essence with a pack of dire wolves with whom she had become very much attached to. She made them more than what they were, "enlightening" them, giving them the gifts of language, reason, walking upright etc. From that pack came all other Lucyan.
Having been descended from the moon goddess Lucyln, they hold her at the highest regard. They are aware and familiar with other members of the pantheon but most notably worship Lucyln before even thinking of any other deity.

Speed
Your base walking speed is 45 feet. Your climbing speed is 20 feet with the aide of you powerful claws.
Darkvision
You have a wolf’s keen senses, especially in the dark. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Lupine Stamina
Your reflexes and agility allow you to move with a burst of speed. When you move on your turn in combat, you can double your speed until the end of the turn. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you move 0 feet on one of your turns.
Wolf’s Claws and Teeth
Because of your claws, you have a climbing speed of 20 feet. In addition, your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.

Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common, Lucine and one other language of your choice.
Very cool race (I like the Shakespearian name references), but I do have two issues. 45 ft speed and a climbing speed is a little too much. Wood elves are the fastest race (other than the birds that shall not be named), and they get 35 ft speed. Also, why Investigation rather than Survival? Survival is what you use to track other creatures after all.
Thank You! I appreciate the feedback i workshopped with a few more people as well and i see the issue with the speed and i think i might switch the proficiency to survival as well, i also think i will be changing the skill modefiers as +2 dex and +1 str instead of wisdom!
