Made a homebrew Snow Elf Subrace. I don't know if it fits in line with snow elves that already exist in the Forgotten Realms lore but I wanted to give it a more unique signature ability than just spells or proficiencies. Thoughts? Please be respectful.
Ability Score Increase
Your Constitution score increases by 1.
Cold Resistance
You have resistance to cold damage.
Snow Step
You treat snow and ice as normal terrain.
Freezing Grasp
If you make an unarmed strike on a creature or simply touch it with your hand, you can choose to use your freezing grasp. The target will take an additional 1d8 cold damage and must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. On a failed save, the target’s speed is decreased by 10 feet and it has disadvantage on attack rolls for 1 minute. The target can repeat the save at the end of its turn, getting rid of the effect on a successful save.
The damage of the freezing grasp increases at these levels: 5th (2d8), 11th (3d8), 17th (4d8).
You regain the use of this feature after a long rest.

I think that it is cool. Maybe make the freezing grasp d6, not d8.
