Greetings,

I am looking to introduce a human race bred for warfare (Atans from David Eddings' books or Spartan idea.)

My first go at the mechanic is all stats are 12+d6 so above average and through childhood they gain three monk levels )inc. the hp  - Way of the Open hand inc. bonus attack opportunity.(Does not count towards overall level but speed and unarmed combat damage does increase with main level - I don't do multi-class characters in my campaign :) ) They will obviously have access to 3d8 HD during short rests as well.

They are well contained and will not be breaking out to take over the world but the PCs are meeting some of them...I want them to be toe to toe a clear breed apart from other humans.

Any ideas?
