After a bit of feedback from multiple sources of varying backgrounds, I'm hoping to be in the final stages of developing this subclass. Please let me know what you all think!
Sworn Protector can be abused by choosing a frog or similar creature as a ward. The barbarian can hit the frog(s), gaining temporary hit points (and a damage bonus at level 14). Overall, the subclass looks pretty balanced and fun to play.

Sworn Protector: As mentioned above, it can be abused. I'm not sure how to word it to stop it, though.
At any cost: Why CHA? This could easily be a dump stat for a barb., and there doesn't seem to be a strong thematic reason why it must be CHA. Unless, of course, this is a balancing mechanic...
Against all odds: This could be misread. "Gain an AC equal to" could be read (and often is) as "Sets your AC to". For a barb with 16 Con, this would set your AC to 3... I think something like "Add your Con modifier to your AC" would be clearer
Nothing more to loose: There's a little ambiguity here in "landed the final blow". This could be taken to mean "the last creature who hit the Ward with a melee attack", which would be odd if they were actually killed by, for example, a spell or falling. "The creature whose actions caused the Ward to fall unconscious" may be more accurate, but is a bit... icky.
Other than that, though, looks pretty sweet to me.

I'd like to assume that a DM allowing this homebrew would go for an "as intended" interpretation of that lol

I picked Charisma because A) It's tied to Intimidation and B) This is a subclass centered around interpersonal bonds.
OK, I can see that. It just seems odd that every other part of the path is linked to Constitution, so At Any Cost jumps out.
