Greetings fellow adventurers! Today I come seeking your opinions on another magic weapon I've been putting together for my game. Again, mostly in terms of whether or not it's over/underpowered for a 5th level character, if the Rarity value matches up, and if the theming makes sense.
Name: Sol's Sunder
Weapon type: Greatsword
You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. While the sword is on your person you gain darkvision up to 60' (120' if you already have darkvision) and can see even in magical darkness.
Seal the Sun: While holding the sword, you can use an Action to cast the Darkness spell. This property can’t be used again until the next dusk.
Blinded by the Night: When you hit a creature with an attack using this weapon, that creature must make a DC 15 Constitution Save or be Blinded for 1 minute as the light is torn from its eyes. At the end of each of its turns, the target can make a Constitution saving throw. On a success, the spell ends. This property can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, recharging at the next dusk.
Thanks in advance for you input and criticism, and may the chests you find be forever full of loot, and bereft of tongues and teeth.
