Horatio groans, but, seeing Samael's plight, runs over and slams his hand into Samael's chest. His eyes roll up into his head for a moment as he breathes out a spell, casting Protection from Evil and Good, targeting Aberrations, hoping that this might grant Samael advantage on any new saves against the charm effect, or against future effects for the next ten minutes. Besides that, Horatio can only hope his team member rallies.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing that Horatio has Samael's back, Perigord chases down the gazer, running up to it and stabbing it with his rapier. If he hits, he channels the protective power of the hearth in a divine smite.

(OOC - also, you're more than 30ft from Samael, so do you want to dash to get to him. In which case, can you cast Protection from Evil and Good or do you want to do something else?)
((Trin can only see the gazer that was at the southern stairs before right? The other one on their level went over the banister out of sight?))
Trin will move out of the cover of the bookshelve and will again cast vicious mockery on the gazer by the stairs\southern bookshelves.(Dc 14 wis save or 2 damage).
Then she will mobe as far to the south east as she can to get some cover behind the southern shelve on the oposite site of the gazer.

(OOC - all the gazers have broken line of sight. The two at the south both jumped over the banister and disappeared below somewhere near the bookcases and desk.)
((Oh ok, I somehow missed that they both went doem there. ))
Then Trin would move southwards along the banister until she sees one of them and then cast her spell(targeting the first gazer she sees). If she has any movement left she will move away from the banister a few strpd to get out of sight of the creatures and as far to the south as possible.
(OOC - that's ok, I may have worded it poorly too. I'll wait for Horatio in case he wishes to change movement & action, and then Samael before moving on and updating the map with everyone's new position.)
(Well, given that Horatio wouldn't know how long the effect might last, it still seems like a solid in character move. Plus it would help, as you say, against future saves vs. the aberrant enemy. Let's keep the action as stated, even if he is able to quickly right himself in the aftermath.)

Horatio makes a run across to Samael, and reaches out to cast his spell on him as he moves to find a vantage point. Perigord moves down to find the gazer hiding behind a bookcase and stabs it, watching it squeal and flop to the ground. Samael catches a glimpse of the gazer up on the eastern rise and splatters it with a well placed blast.
Trinjya moves south, searching for the other gazers, but doesn't catch sight of them until they pop out, heading from the southern bookcase to the south side of the desk to hid under the collapsed doors. As they move however, they blast Perigord and Trinjya with their gaze.
Trinjya: Frost Ray: Dexterity Save DC 12 or 5 cold damage. Telekinetic Ray: Strength Save DC 12 or thrown back 30ft.
Perigord: Fear Ray: Wisdom Save DC 12 or frightened until gazer's next turn. Frost Ray: Dexterity Save DC 12 or 7 cold damage.
Once your saves are all resolved, then you all can make your moves.
(OOC - just had a thought to clarify for your actions coming up as well. You know the gazers are behind the desk and under the doors. So they have cover unless you're standing at either west or east end of the desk so you can see under the doors.)

22 <- Attack
21 <- Damge, two d8s are radiant if that matters.
(how do i beat the charm? roll again?)
(OOC - the charm is only until the gazers next turn. The Protection from Good & Evil helps you next time they gaze on you.)

next time, Samael will shoot a blast at the next gazer he sees.....he is angry......

(OOC - did you want to move at all? Currently none are seen. Or do you want to hold your attack?)
(OOC - no worries :) )
(move to attack position.)
(OOC - roll a perception check for me, with advantage due to the gazer attacks last round that hit you, so you'd have an idea of where to look.)

Trinjya:
Frost Ray: Dexterity Save DC 12 or 5 cold damage.
Telekinetic Ray: Strength Save DC 12 or thrown back 30ft.
Perigord:
Fear Ray: Wisdom Save DC 12 or frightened until gazer's next turn.
Frost Ray: Dexterity Save DC 12 or 7 cold damage.
Once your saves are all resolved, then you all can make your moves.
Trinjya tries to dodge the rays
Dex save: 18
Str save: 2
Trinjya, now a little more knowledgable about the gazes of the creatures, easily dodges the frost ray and resists the push of the telekinetic ray.
