"The guard may have paid for anothic, but the nothics seem non-hostile unless provoked. gazers are malicious, as are beholders. with this, we know what caused trouble."
(OOC - that is true, the guard wanted the nothic killed, but given circumstances, you have learnt more. Was there anything else you wished to do before you leave? Are you taking a gazer corpse with you? You have the magically sealed tome, some potions, a magical robe of some sort, and a magical pearl.)
Perigord found some books earlier on fungi of the depths and the like to help with his cooking, though doesn't find any other books that offer culinary insights unfortunately. It would seem that the library was less interested in cooking skills, though the area you found the books in may have been focussed on alchemy and herbalism hence the books found.
(OOC - Each of those books will offer some help. - Flowers of the Depths - advantage identifying flowers that grow underground. - Fungi of Magic - advantage identifying mushrooms that offer some magical property. - Herbs of the Mountains - advantage identifying herbs and the like that grow in the mountains. What you do with that, I'm interested to see though ;) )
One last thing as well guys, I'll get you all to roll one more Wisdom Save to see if you take any more stress points. Unless there is anything else you wish to do, you're free to travel back to town :)
Large Tome from the pedestal that Gandalon picked up earlier and dropped near the entrance which one of you put in a bag.
Perigord's three books on fungi, flowers and herbs.
The book of aberrations that you need to say the name of the creature in Deep Speech in order for the details to show on the page.
The magical robe.
A healing potion found with the robe.
Another healing potion found on the desk on the western side of the library after killing the gazers.
A potion of psychic resistance found with the second healing potion.
And Trinjya and Samael find a Spell Scroll of Levitation on their final go around, stuffed in one of the books on the shelves near the desk.
Let me know what you'd like to keep or leave behind, and how you'd like to split that stuff up :) Horatio takes another point of stress having had a few close encounters with the gazers hurting and hurling him around.)
"I'd say we take everything back to town, let the wizards identify it, then decide about how to split it. The stuff nobody wants, we sell and split the money. Sounds good to everyone?"
((Trin has at least one slot to carry something larger and plenty of space for potions if I remember the inventory system correctly. We might not be able fit all the books.))
"Works for me. Anyone got room for a book? I can carry a cloak too if need be."
I'm going to dump my javelins and put the third basic book in there, then scarf down a rations (shared with the party if possible) and put the aberrations book in the now-open inventory slot. I'm full up, except for a cloak slot, I think- If there's anything important to carry, let me know.
(I think a shared meal above the library, perhaps in the ruined camp - assuming there's still light in the day - before a return to the town is an excellent idea and a good way to conclude the adventure.)
You all ascend to sit up at the camp and enjoy a meal before the day-long trek back to town.
(OOC - were you taking a gazer corpse with you? Also, nice one guys :) I wasn't sure if I could entice you down into the tunnels below or not, but that was good. Hope you enjoyed it :) You have all earned 500xp and some nice magical items to help you on your way, either further under the library, or somewhere else in the world of Alycron :) )
((I'm putting this here to not crowd the town thread too much. There was another book we found wich was magically sealed, what's up with that thing? Also, now that we know what all that stuff is how do we split? Only thing Trin would be interested in would be the pearl. The robe is probably not very fashionable with all the patches and stuff.))

"At the very least, we can collect a reward from the guard. The gazer, at least, is dead."
"Didn't the guard want to see a dead nothic? Oh well."
Perigord pokes through the books on the shelves, looking for anything interesting- especially anything that could help with adventuring or cooking.

I'm all good, though what about the bestiary book? Is it an assumed item? If not, can I fit both it and Fungi of Magic in my two potion slots?

Wis save: 8
(Horatio had snagged the tome and the robe, is that correct? I recall that Gandalon swiped something early on.)
(OOC - so there was a few things you found.

(what does the robe do?)
(OOC - you're not sure, as you haven't identified the robe or the pearl as yet. You just know they're magical thanks to Trinjya's detect magic.)
"aye."
(i'll carry what i can.)
(Horatio should have one slot to carry with from using a supplies earlier, I think, so that should help as well.)
