The duergarlooks confused by Bree's monologue, responding with a furrowed brow and "Was that...a threat??"
He doesn't have to wait for an answer as Garavant appears in front of him and lances his chest with the magic rapier. The duergar grunts in pain and gnashes his teeth in anger, fumbling for his weapon as he sees Gruenic advancing menacingly.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The duergar sees Lucy aim her bow, and dodges the arrow as it sails towards his head. Artemis swoops around him, ready to give Gruenic advantage on his next attack.
Gruenic crashes his hammer into the duergar's shoulder, cracking it painfully as his spiritual spear impales the man from behind. As blood starts to seep from the corner of his mouth, he answers Gruenic's question: "I am defending my leader; you are the invaders here!"
Bree looks a bit stupefied: "He does have a point...." flames come to in existence in her hands "but his friends said they were going to kill me without talking" 🤷♂️
The duergar's face seems to show hope as Breedemonstrates sympathy, then drops into rage as she hurls as the fire bolt towards him. Too slow to dodge it, he is engulfed and falls to the floor in a screaming ball of flame before going silent.
(Combat over (already lol), please add 40xp each. The room has one door aside from the one you entered through, to the east. It is the large stone door with a dwarf's face carved into it)
Garavant leans back, adjusting his weight on his feet, ready to lunge again. And then a bolt of fire drops the duergar. He skips back a bit to avoid any stray flames, shaking his head in pity at the sight. He sees if he can remove anything of value from the fallen foe without getting burned before preparing to move on.

" … I don't mean to judge other race's aesthetic sense but …" Lucy mutters as she stares at the dwarf face that is carved on the stone. " Why did those Dwarves carve themselves everywhere? Did they love their faces so much? " Or maybe even the Dwarves could not remember their leader's faces without making sculptures on every corner. With same beards, braids and grim expressions, Lucy can not tell the difference between these stone Dwarves. Anyway, the Elf wizard starts to investigate the room with Artemis on her shoulder. The owl helps her master with her superior hearing.
Bree having seen the glimpse of hope in the eyes of the Duergar is a bit taken aback. "Maybe we should try and talk to the next people we come across, they might have interesting information. Or maybe they are just stricken by prejudices of their race which makes them lash out to any outsiders.." She takes a moment to sit down and contemplate this, missing Lucy contemplating the Dwarven faces on the walls.
After a short time she says: "Anyway... Lucy did you find anything interesting? Any preference on which way to go?"
Garavant nods at Bree's words. "I regularly offer the opportunity to surrender to those we encounter,"he says. "No one seems to accept it. Perhaps the next ones will." He shrugs, a half-smile on his face, as if he really doesn't expect his next offer to be accepted either.
Gruenic’s shimmering spear disappears, and he walks back to the room before to pick up a war pick, and he bends down to look through their equipment and bed rolls, looking for additional clues as to why the Dueregar are here. After he has a look, he walks back into the other room and says “Where to now? I will certainly give enemies such as this fellow a chance to surrender, but I have heard of these dark dwarves and they are not likely to do so.”
Garavant searches the fallen duergar, careful not to burn himself on the remaining flames.
At the same time, Lucy and Artemis search the room thoroughly. There seems to be nothing of interest in the room aside from the large and featureless table. This room seems to serve as an anteroom for the area that lies beyond the east door, a door which seems to be unlocked.
Gruenic retrieves a war pick from the previous room and looks for clues as to the duergars’ reasons for being here or motivations. It is a quick search, but in a note scrawled in Dwarvish he finds a reference to a ‘Nimira’ who seems to be their leader.

Lucy summons the spectral hand beside her " There is no secret door in this room, Bree. And only one way to go forward. " The Elf girl hides behind the large table. She looks at her friends. When they are ready, Lucy will open the door with her Mage Hand.
Artemis waits beside the east door. When it opens, she will peek the other side from its gap.

Garavant opts to crouch beside the door as the magic hand opens it. He has his rapier in hand, ready to ambush anything or anyone nasty that might come rushing out. He does his best to take advantage of any shadows, protruding stones, etc. so that he can better get the drop on someone.
Gruenic walks back to the room with the party, shows them the Dueregar note, says quickly, “I can speak Dwaevish, for anyone else who can, their leader’s name is Nimira, may come in handy.” He gives guidance to Lucy if she is the first one through the door, and then he gets ready.

If Sila doesn't spot anything on the underside of the table, she'll hold towards the back of the group planting a minor illusion of the room without her in front of her before they open the door and stands behind it bow drawn at the ready.
minor illusion being only 2D the group should be able to spot her easily behind it but anything at distance wouldn't have the luxury of this. (like standing near a painting).
If she can't do this fast enough to avoid wasting an action in a potential battle, she'll just stand to the side a little to avoid being seen when the door is opened.
Sila finds nothing underneath the table, just some scrawled graffiti saying “Q was here”
Garavant crouches by the door while Gruenic stands ready and the rest of the party make their own preparations. Lucy’s spectral hand opens the east door as Artemis peeks through.
Almost immediately, a female voice calls out “It’s about time. You going to come in here and talk or are we going to dance?”
Artemis peeks further in and sees a female duergar wearing pockmarked splint armour. She has a sturdy-looking greatsword in one hand, the point of the blade resting on the ground.
The door swings all the way open; the room beyond appears to be a bedchamber. In one corner to the south stands a large wooden sleeping platform, badly gouged by axe blows and partially burned. A table, a bench, and a writing desk have been similarly treated. In the middle of the southern wall, a space has been cleared for a simple sleeping pallet and a pair of large satchels. Two doors exit the room to the north.
Two male duergar fighters flank the female, wearing scale armour and wielding picks, shields unslung and strapped to their arms.

Perhaps we can discuss the terms of how we shall proceed, including equitable distribution of whatever wealth this place holds? A peaceful discussion, of course."
