Gruenic nods to the suggestion of a rest here. He looks over the armor with interest, comparing with his own. But he's grown used to this armor, fashioned with the emblem of the Van Gogh squad, with the emblem of his Lady Selune on the breast plate. He sits down in a corner, wanting to rest and concentrating on the warhammer in more detail that helped him strike down his foe, wondering if it has any other magical properties. "Soon we'll need to find a place to take a proper rest. I keep getting hurt and I feel tired. But a short rest sounds good to me."

"Thanks Sila" Bree says as Sila renews the darkvision. As the others sit down for a rest Bree will be searching through the room, not looking for anything in particular (no short rest needed here). She will also offer to be lookout while the rest takes a rest.
When Gruenic mentions taking a longer rest she will offer: "We could finish looking in the other rooms in this corridor and then take one of them to sleep for the night. If they are empty they feel pretty defensible. I think I could go on a bit longer, but the end of today's capabilities are in sight."
Gruenic rests and gathers his strength (7 hp of healing in the log). He says to Bree, “Perhaps we can check one more door, make sure this hallway is clear, then camp for the night. What do you think?”

Leaving the armoury after your rest, you decide to explore the door to the south of the pool room.
This room was once a library or a study. Bookshelves stand against the walls. Piles of books rest on a reading table in the middle of the room. The air reeks of moldy paper. Doors exit to the east and south, as well as the northern door through which you enter. A beautiful, slender woman with long black hair sits in a chair at the table, looking extremely sad. Her clothing, though well worn, does little to detract from her appearance.
The lady springs to her feet as you enter, exclaiming "Oh gods be praised, I'm saved!"
“Ma’am…” Gruenic hesitates, hefting his war hammer and bringing it down to his side in confusion, “are you real? Why are you here, what is your name?” His eyes quickly dart to the table to see what was on it, trying to sort out why she would be here.

(regarding my post above - she's considering that she may be an illusion or is looking for some signs that her form is artificial. For instance, a homeless person shows signs of being homeless - callouses, etc)
You appraise her for signs of being genuine - both physically and in her intent - but find it hard to determine either way.
"Oh yes, I am quite real! My name is Idalla, and I have been imprisoned here by an evil wizard who resides on the next floor down. He wishes to use me in his experiments for extending his lifespan. If you could seek out and slay him, I can be freed!"
“Really, Idalla, who is this wizard? Can you tell us how to find him? How long have you been here? How have you survived?” Gruenic says, still not fully convinced.

Sila, not able to tell one way or the other, approaches looking about the room for signs that she's been fed recently, not seeing anything immediately she digs into her pack. "Well at the very least let's give you some food, water and something to protect your skin." She pulls out the extra suit of leather that she picked up earlier and a ration passing them to her while they speak. Take a drink of my waterskin too, this wizard can't be too accommodating. "And yes, how is it that he holds you? We walked right in."
adjusted inventory accordingly. Would Gruenic possibly have some healing? (11/31)
Idalla seems to flush at Gruenic's line of questioning: "Well, now, his name is Arundil and he has had me trapped here for a week at least. He comes in and conjures some basic sustenance, then leaves. I can't explain how you entered freely, as he does - I cannot open these doors from inside"
She takes the rations from Sila with a nod of thanks and starts to chew nonchalantly.
(Investigation or Perception check from Sila please)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Thank you Gruenic! I was fearing letting the group down in my present state. I'll gladly take the healing." Sila smiles and stretches out the once injured areas. "Ah, that is much better."
(added the perception roll and was accused of being sneaky! I'm offended DDB! @DM was a 7 for healing by the way if you don't mind, putting her at 18/31)
Idalla's eyes widen as Gruenic casts his healing spell on Sila. "Goodness, what incredible magic! I have been suffering from a number of ailments since my incarceration Gruenic, is there any chance you could stay and aid my recovery while your friends see to my captor?"
@Sila:
It doesn't look particularly 'lived in'. There is carpet wear and hardly any settled dust so the room has been occupied, but no sleeping fear or eating utensils

May we take a short rest?
Silaqui will add a dagger to her gear from the room but doesn't take armor as unable to wear.

Gruenic focuses on his new hammer, turning it in his hands and gaining an understanding of its weight and power.
@Gruenic:
You have found a +1 warhammer!

"Yeah, let's do that". After the rest Bree starts walking off towards the next unexplored side chamber, looking over her shoulder "You guys coming?"

Gruenic can cast cure wounds on Sila, please roll 1d8 + 2 healing. "I can heal you Sila, if you need. May the blessings of Selune be upon you."
((This will leave Gruenic with two 1st level spell slots only, before a long rest is needed))
